Adults' & Seniors' Online Workouts

​Exercise improves cardiovascular function and helps prevent or manage stroke, metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, several types of cancer, arthritis and falls.
 
Just as important, exercise can lighten your mood and alleviate depression and anxiety!
 
There are plenty of free online classes for adults and seniors to keep fit during the COVID pandemic (and winter’s freezing temperatures.) These are just a few.
 
Always consult your physician about fitness activities if you have underlying health issues.

FitnessBlender is an organization that believes everyone should have free access to fitness, no matter what level of income. There are hundreds of free workout videos, as well as meal plans!

This down-to-earth app (and YouTube channel) features a variety of scalable workouts that include HIIT, low-impact, and strength-training options. 
  • PopSugar Fitness
From workouts for beginners to full-body bootcamps to equipment-free cardio sessions, Popsugar Fitness has a wide variety of programming that includes Latin and Hip Hop dance and straight-up exericise.

Blink Fitness is hosting workout sessions to start your mornings via Facebook Live at 8:00 AM Monday through Friday.  You’ll get tips to stay motivated and they’ll answer any fitness questions you may have.
  • Planet Fitness
Planet Fitness is hosting "Home Work-Ins" — a series of free fitness classes for everyone — that are streamed live on Planet Fitness' Canadian Facebook page daily at 7 p.m.

Free to those on Medicare, you’ll enjoy free access to classes for yoga, cardio, balance and more.

Research shows that practicing tai chi can improve balance, stability and flexibility in older people, including those with Parkinson's disease. It can also help reduce pain, especially from knee osteoarthritis, back problems and fibromyalgia. While the online classes are free, please consider donating to the Foundation.
