LIFE: A Dementia Friendly Foundation and THRIVE!

Podcast I: Carole Klingler, CEO of LIFE, which hosts the weekly Memory Cafés in Wellington, answers the question: “What is dementia?” She also explores the early-warning signs and symptoms of the disease, noting that dementia is the sixth leading cause of death in Ohio.

Podcast II: Carole invites a Memory Café caregiver to discuss the poignant history of caring for his wife, who was diagnosed with dementia five years ago. He describes the first times he witnessed upsetting changes in her behavior.

The weekly Memory Cafés take place every Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 108 West Street, in Wellington. Carole may be reached at life.dementia@gmail.com, or at 440-935-3506; or go to www.dflife.org.
