Rural Response Network (RRN)
Debbie Kelley, LISW-S LICDC-CS, is with The LCADA Way and is Grant Project Coordinator, Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP). Debbie works with partners on the Rural Response Network grant to bring education, awareness and services to help decrease the impact of substance abuse in the Wellington and Oberlin communities. From 2018 through August 2021, for instance, there were 43 overdoses in the area (OD Maps).

One of Debbie’s key objectives in the video series is to decrease the shame and stigma of those with substance abuse disorder (SUD) by providing education on the brain and the disease of addiction.

Educational Service Center (ESC)
Liz Wolanski is Wellness and Success Coordinator of ESC of Lorain County for North Ridgeville and Wellington schools. The ESC is a premier provider of professional development opportunities striving to meet the ever-changing needs of administrators, service providers, teachers and classified staff serving children. Along with rolling out mandatory trainings from Ohio Department of Education to meet state requirements, ESC also provides customized trainings.

In the MBS videos Liz will explore such topics as: what is the ESC and what services does it provide to Wellington Exempted Village schools; a Yoga for Classrooms (Y4C) Demo; and what is “Social Emotional Learning”?
