Results Are in for the THRIVE! Turkey 5!It was a bone-chilling morning with rain, yet 124 brave runners and walkers took to the THRIVE! Turkey 5K track in Wellington on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 2024. The mood was more than excitement, it was a joyful giddiness. Students dressed in gobbler gear exercising before the race began, dogs with their humans on leashes, Coordinator Dave Lengyel like a carnival barker, injecting humor and fun throughout the festivities. And at the end, athletes enjoyed a warm-up of Starbucks coffee, hot chocolate and granola bars.
Top female runner was Ava Hartman, finishing at 20.39.8 minutes, and top male finisher was Evan Casterline, at 16.04.0. Congratulations! For a complete list of participants and their finish times, go here. |
